No Time to Study vs ChatGPT Study Mode

ChatGPT Study Mode is a general-purpose AI tutor; No Time to Study answers only from your own lecture slides, keeps your whole course in one place, schedules practice with spaced repetition, and gives you a timed mock exam in your real exam's format.

Where No Time to Study pulls ahead.

  1. 01

    Only your slides

The tutor answers from your course material and shows the slide it used. It doesn't freestyle, so it won't teach a method your professor never used.

  2. 02

Your whole course in one place

Every lecture lives in one course with its notes, questions and progress. No re-uploading files into a new chat or scrolling back to find an explanation.

  3. 03

    Practice that remembers you

Questions come back on a spaced schedule, mistakes return until you get them right, and stats show your weak topics.

  4. 04

    Hints, not answers

In a 2025 study (Bastani et al., PNAS), students who practised with a standard GPT-4 chatbot scored 17% worse once it was taken away; a version that only gave hints didn't have that problem. Practice here works the hint-first way.

  5. 05

    A real mock exam

Your exam's question count, time limit and question types, with a timer and no going back.

Questions, answered.

Why not just upload my slides to ChatGPT?

You can, but you'd be building your own study system in a chat. No Time to Study does it for you: lessons for every lecture, scheduled practice, a mistakes list, stats and a mock exam, all tied to your slides.

Will the tutor just give me the answers?

During practice it gives hints first, because research shows answer-giving AI can leave you worse off on the real exam. You can always open the explanation and the source slide after you answer.

Does it work for any subject?

Any course taught with slides: biology, psychology, economics, physics, business, law and more. If your lectures come as PDFs, it can build the course.

Your exam is coming either way.
