Terms of Service

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Vertex Ventures LLC, a New Mexico limited liability company ("we", "us"), which runs No Time to Study. By joining the waitlist, creating an account or using No Time to Study, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2. Who can use it

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You must give us accurate information and keep your login details secure. You're responsible for activity on your account.
• One person per account. Don't share or resell access.

3. What the service does

No Time to Study turns study materials you upload into notes, practice questions, mock exams, a glossary and an AI tutor. Features may change as we improve the product. During early access, some features may be limited or unavailable.

4. Your uploads

• Only upload material you have the right to use for your own studying, such as slides your instructor shared with your class, or your own notes.
• You keep whatever rights you have in your files. You give us permission to store, process and display them only to provide the service to you and the people you choose to share with.
• Your courses are private to you unless you choose to share them.
• Don't upload other people's private information, or anything illegal, harmful or that you don't have the right to share.

5. Studying honestly

No Time to Study is a study aid. You are responsible for following your school's rules on study tools and academic integrity. Don't use the service during an exam or for graded work where it isn't allowed.

6. AI can make mistakes

Notes, questions and tutor answers are generated by AI from your materials. We check questions against your slides, but mistakes can still happen. Your instructor and your course materials are the final word. Don't rely on the service for medical, legal, financial or other professional advice.

7. Acceptable use

Don't:

• break the law or anyone else's rights while using the service;
• try to access other people's accounts or data, or get around usage limits;
• copy, scrape, resell or reverse engineer the service;
• overload, disrupt or attack the service, or use it to build a competing product;
• use the AI tutor to create harmful, abusive or illegal content.

8. Plans, billing, cancelling and refunds

Free first lecture

When you upload a course, we build its first lecture for free, with no payment details needed. The rest of the course is shown but locked until you choose a plan.

Plans

• Plans differ only in how many courses you can have active at once: Core (3), Full load (up to 6) and No limits (unlimited, fair use). Every plan includes every feature.
• You can archive a course to free up a slot. Archived courses stay readable.
• Very large courses (more than about 500 slides) may count as more than one course.

Billing and automatic renewal

• You can pay monthly or every 4 months. The amount and how often you'll be charged are shown before you pay. Prices are shown in US dollars, euros or pounds. Prices in euros and pounds include VAT; US prices are before sales tax, which is added at checkout where it applies.
• Your plan renews automatically at the end of each billing period, at the same price, until you cancel. By subscribing, you authorise us, through our payment provider, to charge your payment method each period.
• We email you before every renewal. For 4-month plans, that email comes at least 7 days before you're charged.
• Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. Where Stripe acts as the seller of record for your purchase, it also handles sales tax and VAT, and its checkout terms apply to the payment itself.
• If we change the price of your plan, we'll tell you at least 30 days before the new price applies, and you can cancel before then.

Cancelling

• You can cancel anytime online in your account settings, or by emailing info@notimetostudy.app. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
• After that, your notes stay readable. Practice, mock exams, the tutor and new uploads lock until you subscribe again.
• Where we offer it, you can pause your plan instead of cancelling.

Fair use

Plans are for one person's own studying. "No limits" covers normal heavy use; as a guide, up to about 2,000 slides of new uploads a month. If use is far beyond that, or looks like sharing or reselling access, we may contact you or limit uploads.

Refunds

If you're not happy, email info@notimetostudy.app within 14 days of your first payment, or within 14 days of a renewal you didn't mean to keep, and we'll refund that payment in full. Otherwise, payments aren't refundable for partial periods. This doesn't affect any rights you have under consumer law where you live.

9. Our content

The No Time to Study name, design, software and our own content belong to Vertex Ventures LLC. You may use the study material we generate for you for your own personal studying.

10. Copyright complaints

If you believe content on No Time to Study infringes your copyright, email info@notimetostudy.app with: your contact details, a description of the work, where the material is on our service, a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorised, a statement that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for them, and your physical or electronic signature. We will review it and remove material where appropriate, and we may close the accounts of repeat infringers.

11. Ending your use

You can stop using No Time to Study and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. If we close your account without you breaking these terms, we'll refund unused paid access.

12. Disclaimers

We work hard to keep No Time to Study running and accurate, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we don't promise it will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that using it will get you any particular grade.

13. Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, Vertex Ventures LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost grades, lost opportunities or lost data. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, USA. Disputes will be handled by the courts of New Mexico, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts. Either of us can use small claims court where it applies. Before bringing any claim, please email us first so we can try to sort it out.

15. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top. If the changes are significant, we'll tell you by email or on the site before they take effect. Continuing to use No Time to Study after that means you accept the new terms.
